Pure sardine oil is an excellent attractant for all species of fish! It can be used as an additive to groundbait or to a rubby dubby chum mix to attract all manner of species from garfish to sharks. Sardine oil will moisten and soften hard baits while adding extra punch. The oil will disperse and float on the surface giving you an excellent slick to attract fish from the surrounding area. In freshwater, adding sardine oil to groundbait during the spring, summer and early autumn will add a significant attraction boost, it can also be added to spod mixes for carp fishing. Predator anglers can boost dead baits by dipping or injecting their fish baits with sardine oil to add extra smell and attraction.
