Wigston Lures was established in the late 1970s. The Lure was to consist of a hollow weighted torpedo shaped central core surrounded with plastic including curved wings out each side. A wire loop with hook coupled was to be fitted through the core. Various patterns, colours and designs to be painted on the exterior.

The new Tasmanian Devil Live Skin Lures are the first ever in the series to feature realistic live baitfish skin. The skin is taken from a high-resolution image of a real fish and then transposed onto high-end art film, which is then incorporated into the lure.
